My little G2 Ponies

These are the ponie-figures I owned/loved as a child – from left to right is the succession how I got them over the years. Until I (as a teen) gave them a younger friend of mine, I had lots of fun with these seven official ponies plus the tiny one from McDonald's, so I came up now with the idea to share perhaps my old childhood-stories with you. (Thanks to my little daughter, who remembers me a lot of that part of my life.) After drawing nothing MlP-related in the last time and being still busy with / annoyed because of the preparations for my new tumblr-header, I took a break of that main-project in form of this little piece of art here, since I wanted to share these children-fantasy-things with something to look at, too. So, my G2-ponies appear here in the style of Friendship is Magic, as the eight beings match in this way the current MlP-philosophy definitely better.

Following, I'll share my (roughly remembered) childhood-story-ideas with you – but don't expect too many details, since memorizing such old stuff without any notes from that time is very hard.

Sundance
Fearnought and the future Queen Sun Sparkle
The brave Sundance loves all kinds of exploration-tours, which is why she can't stay at home for a long time. Because of that trait, she meets easily new ponies and befriends them in a surprisingly fast way – thanks to her charisma as well as her determination to support everypony who needs help. When she learns, that she will be the future Queen 'Sun Sparkle' of her homeland, Sundance isn't happy about it and skips the royal lessons whenever a possibility shows up. She doesn't like the plan of becoming the leader of a still not existing kingdom plus ruling over her friends.
Quote: “I'm NOT Sun Sparkle! My name is SUNDANCE!”


Sky Skimmer
Beauty and a future Princess
Gifted with a splendid appearance, the oldest friend of Sundance easily attracts attention wherever she goes. However, Sky Skimmer isn't arrogant and cares not more for fashion/style than other regular ponies do. Her heart belongs to the nature and acting, wherefore the gentle quadruped visits woods and stages in an equal way. Hearing, that she will be one day a princess, irritates Sky Skimmer very much, although she fits already the requirement of a royal pony. She can't imagine to be an authoritarian being, so she understands her friend's discontent about that queen-thing.
Quote: “Alright, the stage is ready.”


Tipsy Tulip
Clumsy-Fellow and Fraidy-Cat
At the first sight, Tipsy Tulip is a charming pony who cares honestly for everypony and everything around her. But a closer look reveals, that she's a lubberly quadruped who should better never carry anything breakable, so her firstly wonderful charisma suffers deeply under that trait. Additional, she becomes easily scared of unknown or creepy things, which is why she doesn't like to go on adventures. Yet, she has a great talent – the work as a coiffeur. Somehow, Tipsy Tulip manages it in this single discipline to be as graceful and skilled as no other pony, for which she's admired.
Quote: “I don't think that THIS is a good idea...”


Satin Splash
Venturer and Tomboy
With her temerarious attitude, Satin Splash is one of Sundance' best friends – as they share similar spirits. Nevertheless, she's not as cautious as her friend and risks sometimes her health while exploring unknown places. Although she's very boyish, Satin Splash is interested into fashion plus has a large weakness for jewelry. The easygoing pony doesn't think much of the 'brilliant' plan to turn Sundance into a snobbish royal, since all ponies are in her opinion equal, so she helps her friend of course with all her strength to skip the lessons.

(Lady) Cupcake
A markedly Snob and a Pony from the Future
Because of the prophecy of a great magician in her own time, Lady Cupcake decided to travel into the past in order to dispose Sundance – who is said to be the true rightful ruler of the future kingdom – for the responsibility of a queen. Determined to cause the coronation of the right pony, she's eager for training the absolutely-not-royal quadruped and turning her into the majestically 'Sun Sparkle'. However, she pushes her student very much, so that aforesaid one hates her lessons a lot. Only step by step, Cupcake realizes her mistake and becomes slowly a good friend of Sundance.
Quote: “WHAT are you DOING?! It's time for your lessons, Sun Sparkle!”


Sweet Berry
Gentleness in person and a Mother-Hen
The baker in the neighborhood is older than Sundance and the others, but is nevertheless one of her closest friends. Sweet Berry enjoys the work in the kitchen, so she's rarely outside – which doesn't mean, that she would have no time for her companions. In fact, this quadruped is extremely motherly, so that she has an open ear for everypony. She possesses a little anxiety in regard to arguments, wherefore she tries everything to keep peace. Being unaware of a proper business-sense, she sells her bakery-products mostly for a too low price.
Quote: “Calm down, dear. Everything will be fine.”


(Lady) Light Heart
Cheerful Soul and a Pony from the Future
A while after Cupcake traveled back in time, Lady Light Heart decided to follow her, as no correction of her present age occurred. Other than her severe companion from the future, Light Heart is an unhurried pony who considers Sundance' personal well-being a lot. She tries to show her the advantages of being a royal pony – such as organizing useful projects or enjoyable celebrations. While she's tolerant in respect of other ponies, the white quadruped is strict/arrogant when it comes to her own behavior as well as appearance, since she takes it seriously to be a high-ranked lady.
Quote: “Don't create so much stress. Relax a little bit.”


(Filly) Silver Swirl
Rascal and a future Princess
The youngest of Sundance' closest friends is a little scamp who loves going on adventures. Cleanliness is a foreign-word for Silver Swirl, so that she's often dirty and/or sticky. The little quadruped has a weakness for playing pranks and insulting others, but she would never hurt someponies feelings on purpose while doing so. She will be a princess in the future, but as she's not even a teen-pony, for now Silver Swirl is spared with strict lessons about royalty.
Quote: “BOY, that's pretty lame. I REALLY don't like it.”
