186 (who?)
Sooo, although my 75th remix came more or less out like I wanted, I have to admit, that I am much more proud of the cover I created for it. You see, I needed with my little mouse over a whole week for this piece of art – which is no surprise, since I'm not used to this kind of drawing/coloring. For example, I needed many layers for it (19), which isn't typical for me – normally, I have (IF I try more realistic coloring) as a maximum 5 layers. Plus, I used many different brushes (new exemplars, because the base in Gimp was no longer enough for me) AND those thingies with different settings (high, strength) as well.

Hoooweeever: The reason, why I invested so much energy into this combined piece of music/art is a very beautiful fan-video I found around YouTube, which inspired me (or rather forced my inspiration) to try a greater project when it came to a remix(-cover). It's an impressive MlP-version of the song's story created by FlashQuatsch. (She's also around DeviantArt.) Although, I would prefer the story (of the song itself) to be not as that dramatic, I adore the pony-exemplar a lot and would love to see how FlashQuatsch's little one (he's called Crescent) will look like as an adult.

At last: I had inspiration from aforesaid fanmade, but for my cover I designed the baby with lighter hair than the skins color-scheme is (it's the opposite of Crescents colors), because I would like to handle this one as an OC (with a background-story which is a bit different from the story of the song). Normally, I'm VERY BAD when it comes to the creation of own pony-OCs, but – I don't know – this one here could become a bit more than just a mayfly. Additionally, I would have a fitting name for him, since our German word for moon – Mond – is a male phrase. (We are strange in comparison with the English-language, since our moon is male and our sun, Sonne, female.)

Beautiful. Both the MIDI and the picture.

I still find people who think this is an original song by the author of the video and not a song that was popular 20 years ago.
